Services

Consultation (Parents)

Does your child need support in school but you do not know where to start or who to contact?

Do you need help requesting formal supports for your child and navigating the process?

Does your child's 504 plan or IEP need review and recommendations?

Are you confused by the various meeting types and loads of paperwork in special education?

I am here to help parents/guardians:

  • Learn how to navigate the education system and explore supports

  • Learn how to collaborate with the school in developing a support plan for their child

  • Formally request an evaluation for a 504 plan or special education

  • Evaluate Section 504 Plans and Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and provide recommendations

  • Prepare for various types of Section 504 or Special Education meetings

  • Understand their rights as a parent and when to seek a higher level of support in obtaining services for their child

  • Prepare emails/correspondence with the school and written requests

My experience working as a school psychologist in the educational system for 12 years has opened my eyes to how confusing the world of education truly is for parents who simply want what is best for their child.

My goal is to educate parents so they can be confident in communicating and collaborating with their child's school and be able to focus on what matters most, being their child's greatest advocate.

Consultation (Schools)

I have experience completing needs assessments in private and public school settings in a variety of areas.  I am well versed in school threat assessment and training.  I offer presentations and training on a variety of topics and in various formats (on demand, in person, zoom).

Coaching

Education coaching does not replace therapeutic services but can complement these services by providing targeted support in an area of need that affects education.

I work privately with children, adolescents, and college-aged individuals who benefit from coaching in the following areas:

* Executive Functioning (Organization, Planning, Time Management, Emotion Regulation, Task Initiation, Goal Setting)

* School Anxiety/Refusal

* Perfectionism

* Goal Development & Execution

* Test/Performance Anxiety

* Transition to Adulthood

Education Evaluations

Parents

Licensed School Psychologist in Illinois and registered on the Illinois Independent Evaluators Registry (IIER) to complete Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE).  A request for an IEE is made when parents disagree with the school district's evaluation of their child.  If the school district agrees to an IEE, it is at public expense.

School Districts

Do you need help getting caught up on evaluations on a case-by-case basis? Available for schools to complete Section 504 and Special Education evaluations after school hours in the areas of Academics, Attention/Executive Functioning, Cognitive Functioning, and Social Emotional Functioning.
